Online
Holistic Herbalism Foundations Program
Herb Ahava's comprehensive 200 hour Holistic Herbalism Program is divided into two parts:
Wild Tennessee Outdoor Exploration, and our
Online Holistic Herbalism Foundations Programs.
Take one program section at a time, or both sections together for a fully immersive herbal experience!
No previous herbal knowledge or experience is required as we will introduce you to a unique integrative Classical Five Element model to guide your view & understanding of botanical medicine and the human body.
Completion of both program sections fulfills requirements for a 200 Hour Herbalism Certificate.
Dive Deeper
Our Online Holistic Herbalism Program offers a transformative journey into integrative herbal medicine from the comfort of your home. Over 8 months, Dr. Finkelstein will engage you in live, interactive classes covering all Five Seasons (winter, spring, early summer, late summer, and autumn) to explore Classical Five Element Herbalism theory and its impact on the body and nature throughout the year, aligned with Western folk medicine traditions.
Dive into the world of plant medicine as we study over 100 unique botanicals, plant energetics and therapeutic actions. The course includes beginners botany, plant identification, human physiology, sustainable foraging, medicine making, herbal gardening, herbal safety & drug interactions, family medicine & herbal first aid, clinical pearls from seasoned practitioners, apothecary building, and wild food preparation.
Can't make a class or two? No problem. Recordings of the live online classes will be provided for students after each session.
For a hands-on experience with botanical medicine, online students will receive a full apothecary class kit for guided learning exercises and tastings -including herbs and medicinal preparations from the Herb Ahava Farm and small local herb growers across the country.
